Ronald Koeman was harassed by Barcelona fans when he was leaving Camp Nou, hours after the Catalans were defeated 2-1 by Real Madrid in El Clásico. The scenes were caught by a video that’s being shared on social media.

Barcelona said in a tweet that the clubcondemns the violent and disdainful acts that our manager experienced when leaving the Camp Nou.” They also assure that they will take “security and disciplinary measures so that such unfortunate events do not happen again.”

The fans who were waiting for Koeman outside the stadium beat his car and shouted insults to Barcelonas head coach. They also screamed “out, out” during the incident. According to some users on Twitter, it’s not the first time that Barça fans have done something like this to other players.

Barcelona fans are not happy with Ronald Koeman

Ronald Koeman became on Sunday the second Barcelona coach to lose three Clasicos in a row, after Patrick O'Connell (1935-36). Besides that, Barcelona is now eighth in La Liga standings and they lost their first two Champions League matches for the first time ever.

With those numbers, alongside the poor form that the Cules have shown on the pitch, it isn’t surprising that Barcelona fans are so upset with Ronald Koeman. However, that doesn’t justify violent reactions against someone's integrity.

For now, Barcelona’s president Joan Laporta has shown his support to the Dutchman, who has been on the line for many months. Despite that, it seems like Barcelona don’t have many options to replace him, although the ongoing rumor that Xavi Hernandez could be the one.
