Ecuador and Peru will face off this Wednesday, June 23, for Matchday 4 of Copa America 2021. After Ecuador’s draw with Venezuela and Peru’s 2-1 victory over Colombia, this match is very relevant to define the destiny of Group B.

La Tricolor, coached by Gustavo Alfaro, will have to overcome an unexpected draw against La Vinotinto, which gained their second point on the tournament thanks to a late goal from Robert Hernández.

Against Peru, Ecuador has won three of their last five matches. But Ricardo Gareca’s side are leaving behind their bad run at the Conmebol World Cup Qualifiers as they stunned Colombia to stay in the fight for a spot into the next round.

This match between Ecuador and Peru for the Conmebol Copa América 2021, to be played at the Estadio Olimpico Pedro Ludovico in Goiania will be broadcasted in the US by Fubo TV. Other options are Fox Sports 1, FOX Sports App, Foxsports.com.

Ecuador’s confirmed starting eleven

Despite not winning against Venezuela, Ecuador had a good performance against La Vinotinto. However, Gustavo Alfaro has made some changes to the team for the match against Peru. Enner Valencia won't be starting. Also, Galíndez will be the goalkeeper this time.

That way, Ecuador’s probable starting eleven could be: Hernan Galíndez; Angelo Preciado, Robert Arboleda, Piero Hincapié, Pervis Estupiñan; Alan Franco, Moisés Caicedo, Jhegson Mendez, Ayrton Preciado; Damian Díaz; Leonardo Campana.

Ricardo Gareca finally found his winning team against Colombia. The only change is the entry of Miguel Trauco in the defense line. La Blanquirroja used a 4-2-3-1 system to hold back Colombia and against Ecuador it will be the same. This is Peru's starting eleven:

Pedro Gallese; Aldo Corzo, Christian Ramos, Alexander Callens, Miguel Trauco; Renato Tapia, Yoshimar Yotún; André Carrillo, Sergio Peña, Christian Cueva; Gianluca Lapadula.
