Matchday 8 of the European World Cup Qualifiers 2022concludedon Tuesday and the tournament won’t return until November for the final fixtures of each side. Here, check out the resultsand the standings.

As usual, Cristiano Ronaldo took all the limelight as he scored his tenth international hat-trick (an all-time record) during Portugal‘s fascinating win over Luxembourg. Meanwhile, England dropped two points at home to Hungary, and Denmarkbeat Austria to continue their amazing run.

There will be only one or two matches left for each team that will be played in November. After that, tenteams will be directly qualified for Qatar 2022, while other 12 sides will have to compete in the play-off. Here, check out how things stand for now.
