France defeated Spain2-1 in the UEFA Nations League final at San Siro to becomechampions in the second edition of the European tournament. Les Bleusclaimed the trophy in a memorable come-from-behind win. After an uneventful first half, Spain and France got back to the field with more determination to fight forthe victory.
Didier Deschamps‘ side was close to put itself in front through Theo Hernandez, who hit the woodwork. And they regretted having missed that one, as Mikel Oyarzabal gave Spain the lead in the following play. But that didn’t last long.
Just a couple of minutes later,Karim Benzema put things level with a stunning, eyebrow-raising goal in the most intense moment of the match.
