LA Galaxy vs. LAFC Storylines

The Galaxy restarted their MLS regular season campaign with an unexpected 2-0 victory over LAFC, and then extended their run to three straight wins. They have scored a total of 8 goals in their last 3 matches, but also have conceded 4.

LAFC had the worst restart of the season: they lost against their bitter rivals, with their star Carlos Vela suffering an injury. The Los Angeles side were defeated again in their next game (1-3 to Seattle Sounders), but recovered with a 5-1 win over San Jose Earthquakes on Thursday.
