PSG delivered a football masterclass in one of the Round of 16 matches of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, thrashing Lionel Messi‘s Inter Miami 4–0. Ousmane Dembele, one of the team’s standout players, came on in the final minutes of the match and, once it was over, he again spoke about who he believes is the greatest player of all time.
It couldn’t have been any other way — and the GOAT, according to him, was playing for the opposing team. He had said it months ago and repeated it once again through his social media. The French national team forward insists that Messi is still the greatest of all time.
Through his official X account (formerly Twitter), and with a photo of them exchanging jerseys accompanied by a heartfelt message to his colleague, Dembele sent his best wishes to the Herons’ number 10.
“How great to see you again Leo, the greatest of all time… I hope you keep making history with @InterMiamiCF as in this Club World Cup,” he said via @dembouz.
The French forward and the Inter Miami captain shared the pitch for several seasons at FC Barcelona, during the final stretch of the Argentine’s career in Spanish football.

Luis Enrique’s team showed why they are the reigning UEFA Champions League champions, and in a match that was virtually one-sided, they demolished their opponent 4–0 — all goals coming in the first half.
PSG proved they didn’t come to the FIFA Club World Cup just for a stroll, and thanks to goals from Joao Neves, Achraf Hakimi, and an own goal by Aviles, they settled the match in just 45 minutes.
Now qualified among the top eight of the tournament, the Parisian side will look to take another step forward and, why not, dream of winning this title as well.
