Tottenham is wasting no time in searching for a new manager after the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo on Monday. Nuno led the squad for only 17 games and coached the team to a .500 record this season in the Premier League. At the moment Spurs sit eighth in the standings with 5 wins and 5 losses. The 3-0 loss to Manchester United was the last straw and Nuno was relieved of his duties on Monday.
Now according to ESPN, Tottenham have held advanced talks with former Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte, who is expected to fly into London quickly to finalize the deal. Conte had been previously considered for the position as coach of Spurs but pulled out of negotiations because the club would not grant him total control of first-team affairs.
Now after a dismal start to the campaign Daniel Levy and the Tottenham brass was left with no choice but to pull the plug on Nuno after it was reported that the players had lost faith in the manager. Here are other details about Antonio Conte’s arrival at Tottenham.

Antonio Conte has not been coaching since leaving Inter Milan at the end of last season. At Inter he led the club to the Serie A crown in 2020/21, before that Conte won two titles at Chelsea, and five titles at Juventus. It is reported that Conte will get a 18-month contract with an option year at Spurs.
Recently Conte has been linked with various positions including Barcelona and Newcastle, all of which are open jobs at the moment, but his move to Spurs is the most concrete of those rumors. Conte will inherit a squad that has underachieved greatly since the departure of Mauricio Pochettino. Spurs appointed Jose Mourinho after Pochettino, and the team lagged tremendously under the Portuguese coach. Nuno only gained the full-time coaching position at Spurs after talks with Conte, Erik ten Hag, Brendan Rodgers, Paulo Fonseca and Gennaro Gattuso all fell through.
