Premier League champions Liverpool have officially confirmed that they have signed Thiago Alcantara from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich. The Spaniard has signed a four-yearcontract with the Reds and will wear the No.6 in the 2020-21 Premier League season.
Thiago has left Bayern after seven years, and the value of the transfer is$35m with bonuses included. Manchester United, Arsenal, and Barcelona were also battling for the player’s signature.
The Spain international is Liverpool ‘ssecond reinforcementthis summer after they brought inGreek defender Konstantinos Tsimikas. The EPL champions have so far spent$50m.

“I must adapt to the team as fast as I can in the situation and the context that we are living right now,” he told Liverpool’s official website. “Everything is more compact and we started a little bit later, but still it is football and I think we have to mix all the big things up, all the good things we have. I will help the team in a defensive and offensive [way] and also in a mental aspect.
“[The fans] are not more excited than I am, for sure not! It is not about saying words, it is about doing things. I will give my heart on the field to my teammates, the club, and also to the fans.”
