Diego Armando Maradona will be always remebered as one of the biggest stars in soccer history. He became a legend after the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, where he led the Argentina's national team to glory. And who can forget the historic quarterfinal match against England? However, a few people know that he actually played for an English team once: Tottenham.

After playing a 1986 World Cup warmup game in Norway, Maradona went to London with his friend and former Argentina teammate Osvaldo Ardiles. Tottenham and Ardiles wanted Maradona to represent an English team for the first time. And they succeeded.

This way, Maradona and Ardilles played together wearing the Tottenham jersey in a friendly game against Inter Milan. And of course, Maradona wore the number 10 shirt.
