While many people immediately began to imagine <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl/nfl-trade-rumors-packers-and-3-potential-destinations-for-deebo-samuel-20220419-0013.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">potential destinations</a> for the 26-year-old, others wondered why he decided to request a trade. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the key reason would not have to do with his contract or his position on the field.

While many speculated that his desire to leave <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl/nfl-news-fred-warner-reveals-the-best-thing-about-trey-lance-20220308-0009.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">San Francisco</a> could be related to him wanting a more lucrative deal, the reason why Deebo Samuelwants to be traded from the 49ers is that he reportedly wants to be closer to South Carolina, where he spent most of hislife before the Niners drafted him in 2019.
“I’m sure there are multitude of factors as to why he’d like to be traded but I think one of them is the fact that he simply prefers to be closer to home, South Carolina, not out West in California,” Schefter said.

He had already scrubbed anything team-related from his social media, so this wasn’t that big of a surprise.
Samuel established himself as the most dynamic dual-threat weapon in the NFL last season. He thrived breaking tackles out of the backfield and also put DBs on skates lining up all over the field.

According to a recent report, the Niners were willing to meet Deebo’s salary demands. However, he’s got concerns about the way he’s being used and the physical burden he has to endure as a hybrid player:
“There are some questions and some frustrations from his standpoint about this usage,” insider Ian Rapoport said Wednesdayon NFL Network. “He takes a lot of hits, used like a running back, put all over the field and it just does not sound like he’s comfortable with the way he’s being used.”
