The Golden State Warriors have plenty of options to choose from going forward. They’re entitled to the 2nd overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft and, according to multiple reports, they’re considering trading it for various stars, Bradley Beal being one of them.

The Warriors are reportedly looking to add another All-Star to their already impressive core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, and Eric Paschall and Beal has reportedly been on their radar for some time.

The 2020 NBA Draft features intriguing prospects with a lot of upside but the lack of footage and the cancelation of the NCAA’s tourney really hurt their stock, so the Dubs may be leaning towards going all-in for a player who fits their current timeline.

2020 NBA Draft: Warriors Could Trade For Bradley Beal

And, according to NBC Sports’ Tom Haberstroh, the Warriors have already put together a massive deal centered in their 2nd overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft to try and lure Bradley Beal away from the Washington Wizards.

However, Haberstroh added that the Wizards still view Beal as a franchise cornerstone and could be eager to see him back out there once John Wall is at full strength after his multiple injuries:

The Warriors certainly have the package to get the deal done. But I wonder if the Wizards want to see Brad Beal next to John Wall and potentially Davis Bertans and Thomas Bryant next season. The Golden State Warriors would absolutely thrive with Brad Beal. [He] is an amazing shooter and a guy that gets to the rack and gets free throws, kind of like James Harden, but just younger, I think that’s the ceiling you have,” Haberstroh reported.

The Wizards have some young and promising players like Thomas Bryant and Rui Hachimura but they’re far from being a contender. Perhaps they’d be better off just giving up on their All-Star shooting guard and absorbing some high Draft picks and prospects in return.
