The Miami Heat got the job done with an impressive win in Game 3 of the NBA Finals vs. the Los Angeles Lakers, with Jimmy Butler recording a 40-point triple-double and having perhaps the greatest performance of his career.

Butler joined Jerry West and LeBron James as the only players to ever have a 40-point triple-double in the NBA Finals, while also joining James and Dwyane Wade as the only players to score 30+ in that stage.

But what’s more important is the fact that, by winning yesterday, they have a strong chance to get Bam Adebayo back for Game 4 and 5 of the series. That’s why Butler is still fully confident in his team’s chance to beat LA in the Finals.

Jimmy Butler Says Their Defense Is Only Going To Get Better With Bam Adebayo

“We made a lot of things difficult for them. (…)I think it’s going to be even better when we get Bam (Adebayo) back,” Butler said after the game, acknowledging the importance of their star big man.

Even so, Meyers Leonard and Kelly Olynyk did an outstanding job of making Anthony Davis uncomfortable and getting him into foul trouble. However, Bam Adebayo is obviously their best inside defender, and having him back would be a huge boost for them.

Jimmy Butler Says Duncan Robinson Will Give Them A Win Over The Lakers

Butler also added that struggling teammate Duncan Robinson will be the reason why the Heat will win at least one more game vs. the Lakers, saying that he’s going to hit multiple three-pointers after missing plenty of wide-open looks during the first three games:

“He’s going to be a reason that we win one of these games. He’s going to hit six, seven 3s, and I’m going to jump up and down, and I’m going to give him a big hug, maybe a slight kiss on the back of his head, because I know how important that guy is to our team,” Butler added.

You can never rule a team like the Miami Heat out. They’re resilient and hard-working and are led by a fearless competitor in Jimmy Butler. They also have one of the best coaches in Erik Spoelstra, so hopefully, this series is going to go the distance.
