The Pittsburgh Steelers could still be looking for a wide receiver to help Aaron Rodgers in the 2025 season. Now, Tyler Boyd, former teammate of Joe Burrow with the Bengals, has raised his hand to join Mike Tomlin’s team. It all happened during an interview with Austin Bechtold.
“Absolutely (wants to play in Pittsburgh). All my family is here. I would be able to have all my family supporting me. I’m really cool with Mike Tomlin. He’s always been a good person. When I was at Pitt, we had a good relationship. If it happens, it happens. If not, it is what it is.”
The Steelers seem to need a No. 2 wide receiver if they want to be Super Bowl contenders, which is why many rumors have linked them to names like Keenan Allen, Gabe Davis, or Amari Cooper. Boyd wasn’t on the radar until he put himself in the mix with these statements.
Who are the Steelers wide receivers?
DK Metcalf, Calvin Austin III, Roman Wilson, and Robert Woods are currently the wide receivers for the Pittsburgh Steelers heading into training camp. However, the departure of George Pickens to the Cowboys was a major blow to their aspirations.
The big question is whether Tomlin will listen to Boyd’s interest and consider him as a potential wild card in case the team doesn’t find a free agent to strengthen the position.
