Aaron Rodgers could leave the Pittsburgh Steelers hanging, according to a recent report from Aditi Kinkhabwala. The information points out that the quarterback only wants to sign with a championship contender, and that could make him hesitant about Mike Tomlin’s team.
“It’s extremely clear Rodgers is not going to play just for the sake of playing. Aaron Rodgers is more likely to retire than sign with a team that’s not a Super Bowl contender.”
At the moment, the Steelers are not seen as Super Bowl contenders, and that strengthens the theory that Rodgers actually wants to wait and see if the Minnesota Vikings open the door for him, in case J.J. McCarthy doesn’t look good during training camp.
