While the Pittsburgh Steelers await a response from Aaron Rodgers, Mike Tomlin has been very active hosting visits with several young draft prospects. One of them was Jalen Milroe from Alabama, who, during an interview with NFL Network, explained what the meeting with the head coach was like.

“It’s funny. Everybody has their own type of personality. Right? You got the stern coach, you got the laid-back coach, you got the relation oriented coach. Coach Tomlin was chilled laid-back when I met with him. It was definitely a cool visit for sure. You always think you gotta keep your head up high or you gotta be serious the whole conversation. No. It was a laid-back conversation.”

In recent years, in their quest to win the franchise’s seventh Super Bowl, the Steelers have tried many names at the quarterback position: Mitch Trubisky, Kenny Pickett, Mason Rudolph, Justin Fields, and Russell Wilson. None of them have worked out.

Will Steelers draft a quarterback?

It’s almost certain that the Steelers will draft a quarterback in 2025. What’s interesting is that the list of potential players is very long: Shedeur Sanders, Jaxson Dart, Jalen Milroe, Will Howard, or Tyler Shough.

Milroe is one of the most intriguing cases because of his athleticism and ability to extend plays with his legs. Additionally, many experts project that he could be available in the third round, which would allow the Steelers to focus their first-round pick on another position like defensive line or offensive line.
