Ben Roethlisberger spoke on his podcast Footbahlin about Aaron Rodgers and his new chapter with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Big Ben surprised many with his comments, saying he doesn’t believe the veteran has much left in the tank.

“I don’t think he’s got much more after this year. I think this might be it for him, personally. I don’t know. I’m just guessing in terms of you coming off an Achilles. Coming off my elbow, my first year back, I felt like I was 100%. You don’t realize you’re not 100% until the next year, when you are 100%. He’s coming, one year last year off his Achilles. He’s probably like: ‘I felt pretty good.’ This year, he’s going to be better in the sense of body feeling better. That doesn’t mean he’ll play better. You never know.”

Rodgers has spent over 14 years chasing the second Super Bowl of his career. He came very close several times with the Packers, failed completely with the Jets, and is now going for one last shot with the Steelers.

Is Aaron Rodgers retiring?

No. Aaron Rodgers is not retiring from the NFL and will play the 2025 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, Ben Roethlisberger warned that he doesn’t see Rodgers playing for another two or three years, like Tom Brady did with the Buccaneers.

“There’s a lot of other factors on that, but he’s going to feel better. It doesn’t mean that he’s going to have two or three years left. I think this might be his last go.”
