Aaron Rodgers made headlines a few days ago with his interview on The Pat McAfee Show. However, according to a report by Gerry Dulac, Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers were unfazed by what the quarterback said because they had known it for a long time.

“Anything Aaron Rodgers said is not anything different than the Steelers have known all along. Their offer hasn’t changed. It’s been on the table. It’s a one-year deal. I can’t tell you exactly what the number is, but it’s not anything that’s gonna blow somebody away.”

According to the information, the former Super Bowl champion had already told the Steelers during his visit to Pittsburgh that he would take his time, so the team wasn’t surprised by the quarterback’s recent comments in which he said he doesn’t know what he’ll do about his future.

Will Aaron Rodgers get a contract from Steelers?

Aaron Rodgers has an offer from the Steelers to sign a one-year contract, but the player still hasn’t decided whether he will accept it. Dulac mentions that, although there isn’t an endless deadline, Pittsburgh is still willing to wait.

“They’re basically waiting for him to make the decision and they’re willing to wait. Anything he said was not any surprise to the Steelers. In terms of him taking his time, they’ve known that all along.”
