Shedeur Sanders going to the Pittsburgh Steelers at the No. 21 spot in the first round of the draft is the option that makes the most sense, according to a report from Adam Schefter. The insider points out that although the Saints are favorites to take him at the No. 9 spot, that seems unlikely.

“When you talk to people around the league, I don’t think they believe the Saints are taking Shedeur Sanders. Now, let’s start to think and wonder about where Shedeur Sanders is going to go. Well, that is the spot (No.21 for Pittsburgh) that makes the most sense. But, would there be a team that jumps up in front of the Steelers? Do they value Shedeur Sanders enough to do that? Right now, it certainly feels like his range is 3 to 21 and I don’t like the chances of him going 9.”

The Steelers are going through a very uncertain time at the quarterback position. Aaron Rodgers hasn’t given them an answer, Mason Rudolph is currently at the top of the depth chart, and since Ben Roethlisberger’s retirement, they haven’t been Super Bowl contenders. Because of that, Shedeur looks like a very appealing name.

Who will draft Shedeur Sanders?

The Steelers could draft Shedeur Sanders at No. 21 according to Adam Schefter, unless a team surprises by trading up. Another important detail the insider mentioned is that there are rumors about interest from the Giants, but that’s a distant possibility.

“There have been people who have pointed out: ‘Don’t be surprised if the Giants take Shedeur at 3.’ Do I think it’s happening? It doesn’t sound like it, but I don’t think it can be dismissed.”
