The atmosphere is far from being good in Barcelona amid a financial and identity crisis as the team delivers poor performances on the field. Pressure continues to mount on under-fire coachRonald Koeman, but there’s something that is still attractive from the Cules:their academy products.
Without Lionel Messi and lacking dependable, experienced players, the Dutch manager has given a chance to a number of young prospects at the beginning of the season and there’s one of them who is reportedly on the radar of PSG, Liverpool, and Manchester United.
Besides the fact that Barcelona are going through a terrible financial situation, this wonderkid could leave the club for a bargain €50 million. He has already earned a spot in the Catalans’ starting lineup and has even won his first cap for the Spain national team.
Barcelona wonderkid reportedly wanted by PSG, Liverpool, and Manchester United
The La Liga giants have been facing a massive clearout over the last few seasons but it didn’t have a positive effect, and Messi’s departureonly made things worse. Barca arestruggling to rebuild and many teenagers aresuddenly carrying the weight of stepping up for such a big club early in their careers.
However, some of them are proving to be up to the challenge, just like Ansu Fati did a couple of seasons ago. One of the few positives Barca can take from this tough start to the season is the fast rise of Gavi, the 17-year-old who has impressed the national team’s boss Luis Enrique.
According to El Nacional, Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, and Manchester United are all interested in signing him and they could do so only by triggering the €50 million release clause on his contract.
But, of course, Barcelona want to secure their young sensation for longer and that’s why the Catalan outlet reports that they plan to offer Gavi a new deal which increases his release clause to €500 million, practically an unaffordable price for any side.
Gavi’simpressivebreakout in his first games under Koeman earned him a national team call-up and, once again, he exceeded expectations during Spain’s win over Italy in the UEFA Nations League semifinals. His name is already in the shortlist of a number of teams, so Barcelona might have to hurry up and tie him down to a new contract .
