Novak Djokovic and Aryna Sabalenka have become one of the most-talked about tennis duos, only behind Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz. After teasing each other through social media, they share a practice ahead of the start of Wimbledon.
Now, the Serbian legend is opening up about sharing his wisdom with the current World No. 1, who he says deserves “to be where she is.” Djokovic said that they have a “really good relationship,” and praised her and her team and her personality.

I love how she balances her off-court interests, and her character really shines through. Also on court, being so fierce as a competitor… She deserves to be where she is, as No. 1 in the world. She’s been so consistent,” he said about Sabalenka.
“I’m very happy to always share with anybody as I was doing with a lot of the other male tennis players, mostly. Obviously what we talk about stays between us. I hope it can serve them as a great… even if it’s just encouragement,” Djokovic said about their chat.
“I’m honored to be in a position where the World No. 1 in the world comes to me, approaches me, and asks me questions and for guidance. That’s a privilege to be in. I always try to be available,” he concluded.
