The Dallas Mavericks just lost their best player, but it didn’t take long before the basketball gods rewarded them. Now, Nico Harrison has a chance to not be the most hated person in Dallas again.
Against all odds, the Mavericks won the NBA Draft lottery. They had just a 1.8% chance of getting the first-overall pick, and they were projected to land outside of the top ten.
That’s why Kyrie Irving took to social media to react to this shocking turn of events, as he will now get to team up with fellow Duke Blue Devil Cooper Flagg in the pros.

“1.8%,” Irving posted on X with several laughing face emojis.

Of course, it didn’t take long before some fans argued that the lottery was rigged, stating that the NBA had rewarded the Mavericks for trading Luka Doncic to the biggest market in the league to save the ratings.
That narrative is full of holes, but even if that were the case, the fans will most definitely have a blast watching Flagg, Kyrie, and Anthony Davis dominate for years to come.
