<p>The <strong>Duke Blue Devils</strong> will return to the court in the 2025-26 NCAA season with renewed expectations. After a dramatic collapse against the Houston Cougars in the 2025 NCAA tournament Final Four, Duke lost several players to the NBA, including Cooper Flagg and Kon Knueppel.&nbsp;</p>



<p>With Flagg out of the picture, they recruited another talented forward who is expected to lead the squad to another Final Four and perhaps a championship game. <strong>Cameron Boozer,</strong> son of Duke’s icon Carlos Boozer, joined the Blue Devils with his twin brother, Cayden, to continue with their family legacy in Durham.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>Jon Scheyer</strong> couldn’t be more excited about his new star forward, who he thinks shares similarities with another former No. 1 overall pick.&nbsp;</p>

<p>During a conversation with Jon Rothstein on an episode of the “Inside College Basketball” podcast, Scheyer discussed what can be expected from Boozer. He went as far as to say that Boozer shares similarities with <strong>Paolo Banchero.</strong>&nbsp;</p>

<p>“<strong><em>He’s like Paolo from a body perspective,</em></strong>” Scheyer said. “<em>There’s differences in their game for sure, but Paolo, when he stepped on the floor, he always knocked people back with how big he was. I think Cam has the ability to do the same thing. He’s always been the biggest guy on the floor and now he gets a chance to play with Pat (Ngongba) and Maliq (Brown) where he’s not going to be the biggest guy. I think that’s a huge advantage for him, using his size and then having the ball skills of a guard.”</em></p>



<p>Their phenotype are very similar. Boozer is listed at 6-foot-9 and 250 pounds on Duke’s website, while Banchero, now with the <strong>Orlando Magic</strong>, was listed at 6-foot-10 and 250 pounds when he was with the Blue Devils.&nbsp; It remains to be seen how far he can go with the Blue Devils this season and if he can take them to the top of <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/college-basketball" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">college basketball</a>.&nbsp;</p>

Kon Knueppel missed a layup when the game, Sion James turned the ball over, Tyrese Proctor missed a free throw, and<strong> Cooper Flagg missed a layup</strong>, while the Cougars made the right plays and took advantage of the free throws to take a 70-67 win.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Scheyer could have taken this team, in Flagg’s first and only season with the program, to the championship game. Things didn’t go their way, and Scheyer finally talked about that game <strong>and how he dealt with such a massive loss.</strong></p>

<p><strong><em>“He’s had foot injuries in his high school career and we’re still getting him back to 100% health,</em></strong>” Scheyer said. <em>“It’s not about anything that he’s done. It’s just about getting him to his full 100% productivity on the court, where he can move completely pain-free, and also where he can get back to being the level of player he can be. He’s gonna be a terrific player for us.”&nbsp;</em></p>



<p>Ngongba averaged<strong> 3.9 points and 2.7 rebounds per game</strong> in his freshman season. If healthy, he should have more chances to showcase his talents and help the Blue Devils compete the same way they did last season.</p>

<p><em><strong>“There wasn’t much that Boozer left in his bag </strong>on Tuesday night in Durham, showcasing his ability to get to the rim, scoring in the midrange, and flash a surprisingly efficient 3-point shot,”</em> wrote Connelly.</p>



<p>Boozer believes his team is being overlooked, but he vowed to change people’s minds once they begin watching their games. There will be a lot of young prospects who will draw <strong>a lot of attention in the upcoming season</strong>, but Boozer is already making statements.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Dallas Mavericks fans and players welcomed<strong> Cooper Flagg</strong> with open arms as soon as the team drafted him with the No. 1 overall pick in June’s draft. Flagg entered the league after leading the Duke Blue Devils to a Final Four appearance in the 2025 NCAA tournament, although he couldn’t make it to the championship game.&nbsp;</p>



<p>In his first and only season at Durham, Flagg averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists. He took <strong>Jon Scheyer’s </strong>team to a No. 1 ranking (35-4 record) and the ACC championship.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Flagg joins a team with established veterans who can only help improve his game. The best part of it is that he’ll share touches with fellow Duke alumni Kyrie Irving and <strong>Dereck Lively II.&nbsp;</strong></p>

<p><strong><em>“I’m making sure that he’s feeling as comfortable as possible, giving him any little detail or any little thing to give him,” </em></strong>Lively II said. <em>“Because whenever I was in his position, I remember how frightened I was, and I was only 19 and he’s 18.</em> <em>He’s just been the same, just smiling, cracking joke kid as I’ve always known. <p>The video Cameron Boozer shared announced his partnership with Crocs, one of the <strong>most famous footwear brands in the world.</strong> The twins wear different pairs of Crocs during the video, which includes a message focused on the return to school.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Crocs became famous thanks to the classic rubber clogs, but they have expanded their models and styles over the years. They have dropped collaborations with multiple movies and TV shows, such as <strong>Cars and Naruto, but also artists such as Diplo and SZA.</strong></p>



<p>It remains unclear if the Boozer twins will get a special edition of the footwear, but this deal <strong>definitely puts them </strong>in a solid position to buy more than just a couple of pairs. </p>

<p>Everybody knew that<strong> Flagg was a great player,</strong> but those who know him can attest to his character and the fact that he was an even better person. That says a lot about someone used to the spotlight.</p>



<p>As for Knueppel, he might not be as highly touted as his fellow Blue Devils teammate, but he also has the potential to be <strong>a perennial All-Star at the next level.</strong></p>

<p>Of course, he still needs to get over the hump, but judging by what we’ve seen from him so far, he’s clearly <strong>trending in the right direction</strong> in his young coaching career.</p>



<p>Who knows? Even though this version of the Blue Devils <strong>might not have as many future NBA players </strong>as last year’s team, perhaps they will fare better when it matters the most.</p>

<p>That was smart, as he’s about to<strong> become a millionaire</strong>. Other than that, it’s easy to understand if he had bigger or more important things going on in his mind while at Durham.</p>



<p>Of course, education is important, but<strong> it’s not like college athletes are known for their dedication to their academic work.</strong> If anything, most stars might take the same route as Flagg.</p>
