Last Thursday, alarms were raised after Cooper Flagg suffered an injury during the game against Georgia Tech. With an important event like March Madness approaching, the Duke Blue Devils star cast doubt on his participation. Regarding this situation, it was none other than NCAA exec Dan Gavitt who shared his thoughts on the matter.

In a recent conversation with ESPN, the senior vice president of basketball revealed details about program insiders who believe there would be no issues preventing Flagg from participating in the event without any difficulties.

“What we understand from communication with Duke and the ACC, Cooper Flagg will be available for the NCAA tournament,” Gavitt said. “So don’t expect that to impact their seeding.”

Thus, Gavitt calms the situation, stating that the presence of the Blue Devils‘ star in March Madness is not at risk, at least for now.
