Jimmy Butler had a rollercoaster 2019/2020 season with the Miami Heat, unfortunately the season ended in an NBA Finals loss to the Lakers. Nonetheless the people of Miami love Jimmy Butler and are hoping that this season it will be Miami’s year and they can finally get a hold of the NBA title.

A local street artist painted the mural of Butler, his teammates, and emergency healthcare works, which is located in the Wynwood area. Jimmy Butler had a sensational 2019/2020 season, most notably in Game 3 of the NBA Finals where he finished with 40 points, 11 rebounds, and 13 assists. 

Butler shared his thoughts on the mural by thanking the artist by saying “That’s love” on an Instagram story. Butler has become an instant fan favorite since his arrival to the Miami Heat and this prominent mural is an example of that.

The mural features not only Butler, but also Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro, Goran Dragic, as well as emergency workers wearing masks. The mural serves as a reminder to the people of Miami to keep their masks on during the covid-19 pandemic. 

The Miami Heat began their 2020/2021 NBA season with a loss to the Orlando Magic by a score of 113-107. Butler had 19 points with 3 rebounds and 7 assists in the losing effort.
