NBA players roast the Clippers for their massive choke vs. the Nuggets

The Los Angeles Clippers blew a 3-1 lead to the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Semifinals after being the number one candidate to win it all, and other NBA players had a lot to say about it.

The Los Angeles Clippers became the team everybody loved to hate this season. They were overpowered, physical, and weren’t the ones to hesitate to play a little bit dirty every now and then. That, plus all the trash they talked ahead and during the NBA playoffs granted them a lot of detractors along the way.

That’s why a lot of people from the NBA community was ecstatic to see them blowing a 3-1 lead in the Western Conference Semifinals to the Denver Nuggets. More than giving Mike Malone’s team credit for coming back from such a deficit, they started pointing fingers at LA.

While that may be kind of unfair because of how resilient the Nuggets were and the beautiful team basketball they played, we could expect fans and even members from the media to be petty if the Clippers choked the way they did.

Surprisingly, though, it was their colleagues, other NBA players the ones who stepped up on social media to completely roast the Los Angeles Clippers for arguably the biggest choke in NBA history.

CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard, who had an altercation with Paul George and Patrick Beverley at the start of the season, led the way in the Clippers’ slander on Twitter, with many others following in line.

There are a lot of questions regarding the Clippers’ future now. Doc Rivers may have coached his last game in charge of the team after blowing a 3-1 lead for the second time with the franchise (third in his career), especially after all they gave up this time.

The Clippers traded Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Danilo Gallinari, five first-round picks, and two pick-swaps to pair Paul George with Kawhi Leonard. Once again, they failed to make it to the WCF for the first time in franchise history and fell to 0-8 in Conference Finals-clinching games. Yikes!
