Kevin Love’s tenure with the Cleveland Cavaliers is coming to an end. He made it to 3 NBA Finals and won a ring there, but he’s clearly frustrated with the team’s current situation and looks poised to leave.

Love has struggled with injuries over the past couple of years. He hasn’t played significant minutes and has thrown a couple of tantrums on the court. Clearly, he wants to be in a winning situation again.

That’s why multiple teams are expected to make a run at him if he’s bought out as expected. But, according to Eddie Bittar of Fadeaway World, the Los Angeles Lakers could pursue him in a trade.

Trade Rumors: The Lakers Could Make A Run At Kevin Love And Collin Sexton

Trade offer: Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Talen Horton-Tucker (Sign and Trade), 2027 First-Round Pick for Collin Sexton, Kevin Love.

This way, the Los Angeles Lakers will get a much-needed scoring guard to replace Dennis Schroder in Collin Sexton – who’s expected to be traded – while also reuniting LeBron James and Kevin Love.

Love would be a massive boost offensively over Andre Drummond and Montrezl Harrell, and his ability to stretch the floor with his shooting would soothe them perfectly. Sexton blossomed into a 20+ points-per-game scorer last season and could turn out to be a solid pickup.

Also, the Cleveland Cavaliers would get an exciting prospect in Talen Horton-Tucker, a solid role player in Kyle Kuzma, and a prime trade asset in Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, plus another first-round pick.

Love and James seemed to have some differences early in their time together and he was often mentioned in trade rumors. Then again, they know how to win together and both would be glad to be teammates again if that gives them another shot at an NBA Championship.
