On the opening day of NFL free agency, the Commanders made headlines by acquiring four-time Pro Bowl offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil. While that move generated excitement in Washington, the loss of standout defensive tackle Jonathan Allen to the Vikings left some fans disappointed.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Allen has agreed to a three-year, $60 million contract with Minnesota. “Two-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Jonathan Allen has reached an agreement with the Vikings on a three-year, $60 million contract,” Rapoport shared on Instagram.

Allen’s eight-year tenure with the Commanders was highlighted by two Pro Bowl selections (2021 and 2022). His cumulative statistics, 401 combined tackles, 118 quarterback hits, and a safety, serve as a compelling introduction to the Vikings faithful.
