One of the biggest storylines of this offseason undoubtedly revolved around Aaron Rodgers, who will now officially lead the Pittsburgh Steelers into the upcoming NFL season. With him under center, Mike Tomlin’s team is filled with renewed hope as they look to make a serious run in the months ahead.

Joining the former Super Bowl champion with Packers is talented linebacker Patrick Queen. According to his own words, Queen wasn’t satisfied with his fist season stats as a Steeler and is determined to raise the bar moving forward.

In a recent conversation with the media, the former Baltimore Ravens player expressed disappointment with his performance in his first season in Pittsburgh. He’s now focused on improving his game to help his teammates have a strong season ahead.

“For me, personally, I think I could have expectations and surpass them, and I’d still be upset that I didn’t do more,” he said, via the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “I’m always going to be searching and looking for more that I can do, trying to be the best player I can be for my team and for myself. I didn’t do that last year. That’s what really aggravated me this whole offseason.”

“It wasn’t the season I wanted,” he also added. “Just because I didn’t play the type of football I wanted to. You could blame it on a whole new system and all that other stuff, but at the end of the day, I’m a professional football player. That was Year 5. So, I think I should’ve been a little more well-prepared for that. I definitely take all accountability for that.”

Pittsburgh’s playoff aspirations in the AFC North have soared overnight.
