Aaron Rodgers seemed to be very close to signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers, considering a report from Andrew Filipponi that indicated the quarterback had joined a famous golf club in the city.

“Red hot rumor: Aaron Rodgers has allegedly joined Nevillewood Country Club. The beautiful suburban Pittsburgh golf course. Designed by Jack Nicklaus. Another sign he’s signing with the Steelers.”

Hours later, based on information obtained by Rich Walsh, the club president categorically denied that the Super Bowl champion was a new member. “This rumor is NOT true. I just spoke with the Club at Nevillewood President Wayne Chiurazzi, who said Aaron Rodgers did not join. The Club would love to have him if he does sign with the Steelers. It is true that Nevillewood is a beautiful Pittsburgh suburban golf course.”

What is the future of Aaron Rodgers?

Aaron Rodgers is still considering whether his future lies in signing with an NFL team or retiring. It’s important to note that, as of now, the only real offer he has is from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Mike Tomlin’s team has waited patiently for several weeks, despite the quarterback being undecided and citing issues with his inner circle. When Pittsburgh chooses to move on, it could lead Rodgers to consider saying goodbye to football, or perhaps take a chance on a last-minute call from a contender.
