NFL News: Aaron Rodgers could retire with Steelers in a perfect way

After a turbulent stint with the Jets, Aaron Rodgers may have one last shot at redemption, and Pittsburgh could be the perfect stage.

Aaron Rodgers could write a great final chapter to his brilliant career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ian O’Connor, the author of a well-known biography about the player, believes the formula with Mike Tomlin could be the perfect combination for his farewell.

ā€œI think it has a chance to be a great marriage and a great place for him to finish his career. Pittsburgh is actually the perfect place for him to finish his career. He needs to get back to being a football player. He fell in love with this game a long time ago. He knows it was an embarrassment in New York largely and he’s the face of that embarrassment. Whether that’s fair or not, that’s the case.ā€

Rodgers wants one more chance to win the Super Bowl, and that’s why the rumors linking him to the Rams and the Vikings weren’t surprising. Now, the Steelers are his only option, and although they seem far from being championship contenders, anything can happen.

Can the Steelers win the Super Bowl with Aaron Rodgers?

The Steelers won’t win the Super Bowl with Aaron Rodgers, according to O’Connor, but a respectable performance in the playoffs could be the ideal setting for the quarterback to redeem himself after the failure with the Jets.

ā€œI think this is going to work out. Do I think the Steelers will win the Super Bowl next year? No. But if you told me 11-6 with at least one playoff victory, I think that’s realistic.ā€
