NFL News: Aaron Rodgers receives clear message from Steelers about his future in Pittsburgh after 2025 Draft

As speculation swirls around Aaron Rodgers' next chapter, the Steelers have broken their silence. With key draft decisions unfolding, Pittsburgh has delivered a direct message to the veteran quarterback, and it speaks volumes about their plans under center.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have sent a clear message to Aaron Rodgers as the 2025 draft unfolds. According to general manager Omar Khan, the decisions they make during the spectacular event in Green Bay will not be a consequence of the interview with Pat McAfee, in which the star veteran admitted he doesn’t know what will happen with his future and did not publicly commit to signing with the black and gold team.

“It doesn’t really impact what we do in the draft (Rodgers’ interview). We’ve obviously had conversations. It’s been public and he knows how we feel and we know how he feels. And obviously, the conversations have continued. Like I mentioned, we have two quarterbacks under contract right now and we have two more to acquire. We’ll go through the process.”

Khan’s message stands out because many reports indicated that if the Steelers selected a quarterback in the draft, it could suggest they were no longer fully convinced about signing the former Super Bowl champion with the Packers.

Will Steelers sign Aaron Rodgers?

Even if the Steelers select a quarterback in the draft, Pittsburgh could still sign Aaron Rodgers as their starting quarterback for 2025 and also as a mentor for the rookie they choose.

One thing is clear, as Khan reiterated: the Steelers want four quarterbacks on their roster, and they have two spots left. One of them appears likely to come through the draft, and the other could be a name on the market, possibly Rodgers, or potentially a trade for Kirk Cousins.
