The information from the prestigious insider points out that there is a sense around the league that this is the only way to explain the patience shown by Mike Tomlinâs team.
âThe Pittsburgh Steelers remain optimistic and they are willing to wait. In fact, Iâve talked to several people in the quarterback market, including in and around Russell Wilsonâs free agency, who just figure that the Steelers must have gotten some sort of loose assurance on Rodgers at some point that heâs going to play there.â
However, other reports have also indicated that Rodgers is actually waiting for the Vikings to not be convinced by J.J. McCarthy, so he can receive a call. That would be his desired opportunity with a strong roster to pursue a Super Bowl.
