Aaron Rodgers had his first full practice with the Pittsburgh Steelers at training camp and immediately became a trending topic on social media, but for the wrong reasons. The quarterback’s first pass was intercepted by Patrick Queen.

ā€œIt’s good to get that out of the way. Good to get it out the way (laughs). I mean, anybody that’s watched me practice over the years, you like to try certain throws at certain times. Anybody that’s watched me in games knows that I’ve been pretty stellar taking care of the football over the years.ā€

One of the keys for Mike Tomlin in his quest to win the Super Bowl is precisely taking care of the football. Over the years, since his time with the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers has been one of the best in the NFL in that area. That’s why today’s play was seen by the quarterback as something that normally happens in practice trying new things.

What happened with Aaron Rodgers?

Aaron Rodgers went viral after that interception due to the high expectations surrounding the veteran quarterback. As expected, many fans and haters said that if that was the way things started with his very first pass, everything that comes next will be a disaster.

However, Rodgers sent a clear message to all his critics. There will be interceptions in training camp, but there will also be plenty of touchdowns. Of course, what matters most is what happens during the regular season.

ā€œSo, there’s gonna be picks for sure. I’m gonna try to fit certain things in. You gotta deal with some sweat on the ball from time to time. So, it’s gonna be a good challenge for me throwing with this heat every single day. I look forward to it. I’m going to throw some picks, but, I’m going to throw some touchdowns too.ā€
