Ben Roethlisberger spoke on his podcast Footbahlin about Aaron Rodgers and his new chapter with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Big Ben surprised many with his comments, saying he doesnāt believe the veteran has much left in the tank.
āI donāt think heās got much more after this year. I think this might be it for him, personally. I donāt know. Iām just guessing in terms of you coming off an Achilles. Coming off my elbow, my first year back, I felt like I was 100%. You donāt realize youāre not 100% until the next year, when you are 100%. Heās coming, one year last year off his Achilles. Heās probably like: āI felt pretty good.ā This year, heās going to be better in the sense of body feeling better. That doesnāt mean heāll play better. You never know.ā
Rodgers has spent over 14 years chasing the second Super Bowl of his career. He came very close several times with the Packers, failed completely with the Jets, and is now going for one last shot with the Steelers.
Is Aaron Rodgers retiring?
No. Aaron Rodgers is not retiring from the NFL and will play the 2025 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, Ben Roethlisberger warned that he doesnāt see Rodgers playing for another two or three years, like Tom Brady did with the Buccaneers.
āThereās a lot of other factors on that, but heās going to feel better. It doesnāt mean that heās going to have two or three years left. I think this might be his last go.ā
