Securing a place in the league isn’t easy, but repeating that cycle with the same team twice is even harder. The Packers have called back a familiar face who played in Green Bay during the 2023 regular season, right after leaving Baltimore, where he shared the field with Jackson.

The player joining Love’s Packers for a second stint with the team is none other than linebacker Kristian Welch, as announced by the Green Bay team. Last year, Welch played nine games with Lamar Jackson’s Ravens and also spent time with the Denver Broncos, splitting the season between two teams.

Welch’s career in the NFL

Welch took his first steps in the NFL by joining the Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2020. From there, he seemed to establish himself in Baltimore, but after three seasons and 43 games played alongside quarterback Jackson, he ended up playing for the Packers.
