Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers are standing firm in their decision to wait for Aaron Rodgers. According to a report by Ray Fittipaldo, the team is in no hurry and is giving the quarterback another month to think about his future.

“I just know that they are willing to be patient. I think they’re even willing to be patient into June. I don’t really see like and end to this anytime soon unless Aaron just makes up his mind. I honestly don’t see the Steelers walking away at this point. So, it might be two weeks, four weeks, six weeks, but, I think as long as Aaron doesn’t retire, I think the Steelers will be willing to sit around and wait for that decision. They believe that Aaron Rodgers has something left and they wanna see what they can do in 2025 if he does sign.”

At the moment, Rodgers is still considering whether he will pursue one last Super Bowl in his career or choose to retire. After rumors linking him to the Vikings, the reality is that his only option to keep playing is in Pittsburgh.

Will Steelers sign Aaron Rodgers as quarterback?

The Steelers want to sign Aaron Rodgers, but now everything depends on the quarterback’s final decision. The veteran has publicly admitted that he’s dealing with issues within his inner circle that are preventing him from committing to any team.

However, being the only option on the market, Pittsburgh appears willing to wait for Rodgers at least until June. The backup plan later on could be Kirk Cousins and a trade with the Falcons.
