NFL News: Rob Gronkowski sends strong warning to Aaron Rodgers, Mike Tomlin and Steelers

Rob Gronkowski isn't holding back. The former Patriots star believes New England is set to reclaim dominance over Pittsburgh, regardless of whether Aaron Rodgers suits up. With Mike Vrabel now in the mix and a favorable schedule ahead, Gronk predicts trouble for Mike Tomlin's Steelers when they visit Foxborough in Week 3.

Rob Gronkowski won many games against the Pittsburgh Steelers alongside Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. Now, regardless of whether Aaron Rodgers is there or not, the former tight end believes the Patriots will dominate Mike Tomlin’s team in Week 3 and then earn a wild card spot thanks to Mike Vrabel. It all happened during an interview in Bussin’ With The Boys.

“I mean, we’ve got the Steelers number. The Patriots always take down the Steelers no matter what. We just do. We’re going over seven and a half wins. I think he’s the truest perfect fit possible for the second era after Bill Belichick (Mike Vrabel). You can’t really argue with any of the moves that they have made so far. I think they have made every move correctly. I’m going on record to say that they’re making the playoffs this year.”

The Patriots legend stated that New England is still not ready to be a Super Bowl contender and that the clear favorite in the AFC East is undoubtedly the Buffalo Bills. However, Gronk believes Vrabel will make a lot of noise with a manageable schedule.

What did Rob Gronkowski say about the Steelers?

Rob Gronkowski said that historically, the Patriots have dominated the Steelers and that the trend will continue when they face off in Week 3. That game is scheduled for Sunday, September 21, at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.

Even though the situation for both teams is very different from when Gronk played, the reality is that New England have dominated the Steelers in key moments, such as the AFC Championship Games in the 2001, 2004, and more recently the 2016 season, with a final score of 36-17.
