Tua Tagovailoa and his Miami Dolphins aim to be contenders in the AFC East next NFL season, though, as expected, it won’t be an easy task. Especially now, with the news that a veteran player is set to leave and join the Arizona Cardinals, where he will team up with Kyler Murray.

Calais Campbell, who played as a defensive end for Mike McDaniel’s team last season, will bring all his experience to the NFC West as he joins the Arizona Cardinals, a team looking to be a key contender in the upcoming season.

The news was reported by NFL insider Ian Rapoport, who, through his X (formerly Twitter) account, shared more details about the veteran’s move to the Cardinals for the upcoming season.

Campbell returns to Arizona, the team that selected him in the 2008 draft with the 50th overall pick in the second round. He played there until 2016 before making stops with several other teams, including the Jacksonville Jaguars, Baltimore Ravens, and Atlanta Falcons, before joining the Dolphins.

“I can certainly say with certainty that at this certain moment,” McDaniel said when asked about the RB, via C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald. “We are fully planning to move forward for a better version of our relationship with Tyreek.”

“Tyreek has been in the building often,” McDaniel also added, via Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post. “Tyreek is known for some antics on social media. We’re in a good spot with Tyreek.”

While there are still no firm certainties regarding the future of the former Chiefs player, for now, according to his coach’s comments, it seems likely that he will continue to be an important piece in Tua Tagovailoa’s offense.
