The Minnesota Vikings do not want to sign Aaron Rodgers despite recent reports from Mike Silver and Dianna Russini pointing to a possible interest in the veteran quarterback. Adam Schefter confirmed that, with many rumors swirling, there is no chance of that happening.

The information indicates that head coach Kevin OāConnell trusts that J.J. McCarthy is the right one to lead the franchise to the Super Bowl. Although Rodgers is a very appealing name to replace Sam Darnold, that would not be the path to follow.

McCarthy. I think people forget he was the 10th overall pick in the draft and he was competing last year to where he very well might have been the starting quarterback in opening day. Theyāre counting on him to be their starting quarterback.ā
