NFL News: Aaron Rodgers will reportedly sign with Steelers or Vikings on his own terms

Aaron Rodgers is in no hurry to decide whether he will accept the offer made by the Pittsburgh Steelers. According to a report by Peter Schrager, the quarterback will set his own timeline and dictate the terms of the negotiations.

“This is the dance partner you’re dancing with. He’s gonna go at his own timeline and you know that going in. This might take a week. This might take two weeks. This might take three weeks or four weeks, but it certainly wasn’t going to happen on the timeline of NFL reporters. It’s going to happen on Aaron Rodgers’ timeline.”

In recent days, several reports have linked the Giants and the Vikings as other possibilities for Rodgers as he tries to win the last Super Bowl of his career. However, the legend will not allow himself to be pressured.

Who is the Steelers’ quarterback now?

Aaron Rodgers is the quarterback the Steelers want, but they will have to wait for him to decide his future. For now, Pittsburgh only has Skylar Thompson signed at that position. Schrager warns that the only thing left for all interested teams is patience or find someone else.

“We don’t know what his timeline is. We don’t even know what his numbers necessarily have to be hit and this is how he’s going to dictate the situation. I also think it’s going to come from those teams internally to have to draw a line in the sand and I don’t see that happening right now. They’ve already waited this long, they might as well wait as long as it takes to get their quarterback.”
