It’s been said over and over that the Green Bay Packers desperately need to improve their receiving corps, as other than Davante Adams, they don’t have a true reliable weapon at Aaron Rodger’s disposal.

That’s why they were linked with a move for Houston Texans’ wideout Will Fuller, one of the biggest deep threats in the NFL and one of the most likely candidates to be traded after his team plummeted to a 1-6 record.

However, it seems like people from within the Packers organization were reluctant to meet the Texans’ asking price for the wide receiver, thus staying put at the trade deadline and failing to make a move at him.

Green Bay Packers Couldn’t Agree On Terms With Houston Texans For Will Fuller

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Will Fuller was set to end the season as a member of the Houston Texans as the Green Bay Packers failed to meet their terms and there weren’t any other takers.

That’s kind of impressive considering he’s already piled up 490 receiving yards on 31 receptions and became the team’s clear lead target with DeAndre Hopkins‘ departure to the Arizona Cardinals.

While not an elite receiver, Fuller’s speed and explosiveness are bound to get him a lot of money in the offseason, and he could have been exactly what the Packers needed opposite Adams to finally get over the hump and win another Super Bowl. Now, it seems like they’re going to have to wait until next season to get Rodgers some help.
