NFL Networkâs Ian Rapoport reported that Will Fuller was set to end the season as a member of the Houston Texans as the Green Bay Packers failed to meet their terms and there werenât any other takers.
Thatâs kind of impressive considering heâs already piled up 490 receiving yards on 31 receptions and became the teamâs clear lead target with DeAndre Hopkinsâ departure to the Arizona Cardinals.
Will Fuller Reacts To The Trade Rumors
A couple of hours before the deadline, Fuller took to Twitter to react to the countless rumors of his move to Lambeau Field, hinting at a desire to leave and finish the season strong with a contender.
While not an elite receiver, Fullerâs speed and explosiveness are bound to get him a lot of money in the offseason, and he could have been exactly what the Packers needed opposite Adams to finally get over the hump and win another Super Bowl. Now, it seems like theyâre going to have to wait until next season to get Rodgers some help.
