It had been a while since we last saw some good NFL action. But, even if the years go by, it seems like some things will just never change. Tom Brady will always be sharp regardless of his age and the Dallas Cowboys will always find ways to shoot themselves in the foot.
Both of those premises were in a full display last night during their Week 1 game. Mike McCarthy’sCowboys managed to keep the game close and blew multiple chances of getting a statement winjust to lose in a heartbreaking fashion.
Dallas Kicker Greg Zuerlein missed one extra point attempt and two field goals, which eventually sealed the Cowboys’ fate. They put the ball in Tom Brady’s hands with 1:30 minutes left with a 1-point lead. So, as you’d expect, the Bucs won the game after a perfect drive from number 12.

The Buccaneers were favored by as many as 9.5 points entering the game but could never quite pull away, either because of turnovers or struggles in their secondary defense. Dak Prescott looked outstanding in his first game in 11 months but it just wasn’t enough.
