Brad Marchand has achieved a long-awaited milestone in his career by winning the Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers after 14 years, having first won it with the Boston Bruins in 2011. The six-game victory over the Edmonton Oilers required much more than just athletic effort.

During his time in Florida, Marchand has been away from his family, who live in Boston. The Panthers star left the city where he lived for 16 years and established himself as a star. The pursuit of glory came at a high price but with an even more valuable reward.

Katrina Marchand, Brad’s wife, couldn’t hold back her tears when speaking about the last three months in Boston without her husband, as well as the past 14 years that Florida’s star has fought to reunite with winning the Stanley Cup.
