Argentina vs Brazil Survey: Who's the best player for each position?

Argentina vs Brazil is one of the biggest rivarlies not only in South America, but also in the world of soccer. And on Saturday, these national teams will face each other one more time to define who’s theCopa America 2021 champion. There’s no doubt that this will be one of the most important soccer games of the year, in which fans from all over the world will be able to enjoy the duel between Lionel Messi and Neymar. However, this article is not about the preview, stats or predictions. This time, Bolavip has made a survey so you can choose your favorite player for each position before the big final.

If wetake a look player by player, wewill probably notice that many of the Brazilian first team footballers play for the biggest teams in the world. But it wouldn’t be totally fair to choose them just for that, as some of Argentina’s players have shown amazing performances during the Copa America 2021.

This will not be just the usual Messi or Neymar survey. Here you will have to pick a player for each position, starting with the goalkeeper, of course. So, before the Copa America 2021 Final between Argentina and Brazil, who’s your favorite player for each position?

Emiliano Martinez or Ederson

The Aston Villa goalie made the headlines after his impressive performance during the penalty shootout against Colombia in the semifinals. Martinez blocked three penalties, leading Argentina to the Copa America 2021 Final. Ederson, meanwhile, seems to be improving year after year and is proving it in the Premier League playing for Manchester City. He is considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

Nahuel Molina vs Danilo

The 23-year-old Molina is making his first steps in European soccer and with the Argentinean national team. He joined Udinese on a free transfer after leaving Boca Juniors in September 2020. Danilo is a much more experienced right-back who plays for Juventus. He had played for Real Madrid and Manchester City before sigining for La Vecchia Signora.

German Pezzella vs Marquinhos

Fiorentina‘s Pezzella won his place in the first team due to Cristian Romero‘s injury. Coach Lionel Scaloni chose him to join Nicolás Otamendi as the center backin Argentina’s defence. Marquinhos is one of the biggest names in Brazil and the national team’s captain.

Nicolas Otamendi vs Thiago Silva

This might be a more fair battle. They are two experienced defenders who have been played in Europe for more than 10 years now. Otamendi managed to put the criticism behind him and earn a place in the national team, while Thiago Silva has recently clinched the UEFA Champions League title with Chelsea and now is looking for a new trophy with his national team.

Nicolas Tagliafico vs Renan Lodi

Tagliafico have been rotating with Marcos Acuña in Argentina in the Copa America 2021. He showed a good performance against Colombia in the semifinals and he would start vs. Brazil. Something similar happened with Renan Lodi and Alex Sandro. However, Lodi seems to have won the place in the first team.

Rodrigo De Paul vs Fred

The 27-year-old Argentinian midfielder, who will join Atletico de Madrid after the Copa America, has been the national team’s engine in midfield. Fred, meanwhile, wants to close his season with a title after a solid performance with Manchester United in the 2020-2021 Premier League.

Guido Rodriguez / Leandro Paredes or Casemiro

Argentina’s coach Lionel Scaloni started with Leandro Paredes as his center midfielder, but Guido Rodríguez gave some fight for a place in the team andis a more defensive player. Casemiro is everywhere on the field. He defends, attacks and helps Brazil during the 90 minutes.

Giovanni Lo Celso vs Lucas Paqueta

Lo Celso is a player who can give Argentina something different from the rest. He always finds the way to give accurate passes and is a good partner for Messi. Paqueta has already shown what he’s capable of in the 2019 Copa America, and he’s also been one of the best midfielders in this edition of the South American tournament.

Nicolas Gonzalez vs Everton

Let them run!Two players who never seem to get tired. Gonzalez is one of Scaloni’s favorite players and is making his first steps with the national team. Everton was one of the stars in the 2019 Copa America and is still looking for his best form in this edition.

Lautaro Martinez vs Richarlison

Inter Milan‘s striker Lautaro Martinez did not have the best start. However, he recovered his form in the last few games and has already scored 3 goals in the tournament. Richarlison is not the classic number 9, but has been the main weapon in Brazil’s attack in this Copa America 2021.

Lionel Messi vs Neymar

Both of them are looking for theirfirst major title with their national teams, without taking into accountthe OlympicGold Medals. Although Neymar was called to be part of Brazil’s squad in the 2019 Copa America, he did not participate in the tournament due to an injury. While Messi has lost two straight Copa America finals against Chile in 2015 and 2016, after losing to Germany the 2014 World Cup Final.

They are both brilliant! Messi and Neymar haven probably been the best players in the 2021 Copa America, leading their national teams to the grand final. Now, it’s up to you to decide who’s has been the best.
