The Copa America 2021 has its finalists. Argentina and Brazil will face off at Maracana Stadium to try to lift the continental trophy. While La Albiceleste is looking to put an end to a drought of 28 years, Brazil wants to win back-to-back trophies, after winning the title in 2019.
Their most recent competitive match was in the semi-finals of the Copa America 2019, and Brazil won 2-0. However, the last time that these two bitter rivals met at the Copa America final was in 2007, when Brazil won 3-0 with goals from Julio Baptista, Dani Alves and an own goal from Roberto Ayala.
Since that match, Argentina reached another two finals in 2015 and in 2016 but lost both on penalties against Chile. This will be the fourth Copa America final for Lionel Messi, who is looking to win his first trophy with his national team. Could this be his moment?
