The US men’s national team will begin their journey in the Final Round of the Concacaf World Cup Qualifiers when they meet El Salvador Estadio Cuscatlan. The USMNT is coming to The Octagonal with some momentum after winning the Gold Cup and the Concacaf League of Nations early this year.

The Final Round of the Concacaf World Cup Qualifyingconsists of 14 matches, home and away, between eight teams. Mexico , the United States, Honduras , Jamaica, Costa Rica , Canada, Panama and El Salvador will play for the three direct spots in the World Cup or the opportunity to play a final play-off.

El Salvador and the United States have met four times in the World Cup Qualifying, being the last in 2009. After this match, both teams will have another two matches for this international window. Here, check out everything there’s to know:

The U.S. men’s national team will visit El Salvador at Estadio Cuscatlan in San Salvador on Thursday, September 2, 2021. The USA have never lost to El Salvador for the World Cup Qualifiers.
