The USA beat Mexico 1-0 in the 2021 Gold Cup Final in Las Vegas. These two Concacaf giants have a lot of history together and they added a new chapter when on Sunday, when the USMNT were crowned thanks to a late goal from Miles Robinson in extra time.
The USMNT, with a “B side”, had to fight on its way to the decider. They beat Qatar in a difficult game thanks to a late goal from Gyasi Zardes. While they suffered to be in the final, Gregg Berhalter’s team just won their seventh Gold Cup title.
Meanwhile, Mexico also suffered against Canada in the semifinals but they managed to win 2-1 thanks to a last minute goal from Hector Herrera.
