Lautaro Martinez is Inter Milan’s go to striker after the departure of Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea, but all that could change as two Premier League clubs have set their sights on the Argentine national team forward as he has yet to sign an extension with Inter.
Lautaro Martinez arrived at the Nerazzurri in 2018, after spending four years at Racing Club of Argentina. Martinez has not disappointed, netting 39 goals in 102 Serie A appearances. Martinez was one of the leaders of Inter Milan’s conquest of the Italian Serie A title last season. Now according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Martinez who has yet to sign an extension with Inter Milan, is a target of Arsenal and Tottenham in England.
According to Diego Milito, Serie A commentator, “Apparently, he (Martinez) will soon sign a contract extension and I hope he will stay at Inter for a long time.” That still has not stopped Spurs and the Gunners from inquiring and even offering Martinez a contract proposal. Here is the status of Lautaro Martinez’s move to the Premier League.

It is said that Arsenal went as far as offering Lautaro Martinez a 17 million Euro contract and a transfer to Inter Milan of 90 million Euros back in August. What halted the deal was the sale of Romelu Lukaku, now if Martinez even resigns with Inter a transfer of that size would be nearly impossible to say no to.
Although according to Milito, Inter would be willing to listen to offers over 100 million Euros for Lautaro Martinez. Arsenal could use a player of Martinez’s ability; the club is in desperate need of a star signing after their less than stellar start to the season.
Lautaro Martinez to Tottenham

Tottenham are in huge debt and with Harry Kane being the go-to man at Spurs, this deal seems much more farfetched. Lautaro Martinez already played second fiddle to Lukaku and saw Lukaku reap the rewards with a big time move to Chelsea.
Lautaro Martinez is looking to be the man at the next club he plays for, and Spurs don’t fit the bill, his transfer fee would be huge and it’s doubtful Martinez would move to a club that historically struggles to win titles.
Lautaro Martinez began his Serie A season scoring 2 goals in 2 games, it is his personal goal to become the face of Inter Milan and this season look for Martinez to become Serie A’s unquestionable star.
