The summer transfer window deadline is getting close and Manchester City want to secure a striker before then. Everyone knows Harry Kane is their priority target, but as they struggle to get Tottenham to accept their offer, they could switch their attention to Fiorentina sensation Dusan Vlahovic.

The Serbian young star has been a complete standout for the Florence side during the 2020-2021 Serie A season. It wasn't the best year for La Viola, who finished below 10th, but it certainly has been a fantastic one for the striker.

Vlahovic scored an impressive 21 goals in 37 league games and has caught the eye of European giants. Even the Citizens, who are keen on landing Kane, seem to be one of the teams that want to sign the Fiorentina player.

Manchester City's interest in Harry Kane has been all over the news for the past few weeks as the England international wants out of Spurs. But Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is reluctant to sell their star and negotiations don't move forward. Therefore, the Sky Blues have reportedly offered around $93 million for Vlahovic, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. Will they settle with the Fiorentina star?

Over the last few days, Atletico Madrid have emerged as the No. 1 candidate to bring in the Serbian forward. Sky Sport's Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that the Colchoneros and Vlahovic had agreed on personal terms but the Italian club's answer was pending. Fiorentina president, Rocco Commisso, has stated he wants Vlahovic to stay, but he would be willing to sell for a €100 million bid ($116 m). Atletico offered nearly $82 million, according to Corriere dello Sport. But City outbid them, so we'll have to wait and see how this situation unfolds.

Tottenham

With the future of Harry Kane up in the air, Nuno's Spurs have also been linked with Dusan Vlahovic. If the English star ends up leaving, not only they would suffer a huge blow but would face a significant vacancy upfront. British outlet Express Sports reported the news, saying Tottenham would even want Vlahovic to join Kane. However, it seems like he would be more of a replacement.

The Gunners are also facing a complicated situation with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette's future in doubt. Arsenal have seen how much they'd need firepower when the duo was absent in their loss at Brentford in the Premier League curtain-raiser. The Mirror has linked both north London sides with Dusan Vlahovic, although Arsenal have already spent loads of money this summer.
