The summer transfer window is closed, so teams aren’t exactly in a hurry tochase potentialsignings for now. However, clubs do think about the long term and that includes opening negotiations for contract renewals.

Manchester City have a star-studded squad that costs them a significant amount of money every season but that wouldn’t prevent them from proposing a wage increase to one of their various stars.

The Citizens haven’t spent on many players during the summer but they did invest a lot on Jack Grealish. Regardless, they seem ready to opentheir wallet again to tiea sensational player down to a new deal.

Phil Foden is without any doubt the most excitingMan City productand the club is reportedly willing to show him how much it values him by offering him a fantastic salary raise.According to TEAMtalk, the new deal would see the young star make£100,000 ($137,000) more than what he currently does per week.

Foden’s current contract was signed in 2018, before his amazing breakthrough and rise to the England international team. Following a great 2020-21 season capped with a brilliant Euro 2020, the 21-year-old’s development hasn’t gone unnoticed and is apparently close to getting a great compensation.
